Chippendale Style Bureau

The work of the great furniture maker, Thomas Chippendale, falls into four main styles; English deep carving, elaborate French Rococo, Chinese lattice work and lacquer and Gothic arches. By mixing these characteristics Chippendale developed a unique style the influence of which is clearly seen in our exquisite bureau with its beautiful carving, Gothic arches, Chinese forms and the rich Mahogany grain

Most of our furniture can be made in Mahogany, Walnut, Burr Walnut, Pollard Oak, Rosewood, Yew Oyster and Walnut Oyster and only British hardwood is used. We stock an extensive selection of exotic veneers for special commissions.

Due to natural fluctuations in wood grain and colour the final finish may vary. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed, however our skilled polishers do achieve a very close match to customer requirements.

Our workshops are open seven days a week but please make an appointment so a member of staff is available for your enquiries.
