Flamed mahogany chest of drawers Chippendale style (circa 1840-1860)

Our exquisite chest of drawers is crafted in the style of Thomas Chippendale who is certainly the most famous name in the history of English furniture makers. His designs were a reaction against the heavy formality of the Baroque furniture of the previous period. Our chest has an elegantly curved front, intricate carving at the corners, bears original handles and stands on ogee feet, all typical of Chippendale's superb style.

Most of our furniture can be made in Mahogany, Walnut, Burr Walnut, Pollard Oak, Rosewood, Yew Oyster and Walnut Oyster and only British hardwood is used. We stock an extensive selection of exotic veneers for special commissions.

Due to natural fluctuations in wood grain and colour the final finish may vary. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed, however our skilled polishers do achieve a very close match to customer requirements.

Our workshops are open seven days a week but please make an appointment so a member of staff is available for your enquiries.
