Impressive Mahogany Serpentine Chest on Chest Circa 1940

This exquisite chest appears to have seven drawers whereas two of the central drawers hide a desk with hinged surface and fine interior including a secret drawer. All the drawers are Oak lined and the entire chest is finished with fluted corners and crowned with a dentil cornice.  The term Serpentine refers to the elegantly curved shape.

Most of our furniture can be made in Mahogany, Walnut, Burr Walnut, Pollard Oak, Rosewood, Yew Oyster and Walnut Oyster and only British hardwood is used. We stock an extensive selection of exotic veneers for special commissions.

Due to natural fluctuations in wood grain and colour the final finish may vary. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed, however our skilled polishers do achieve a very close match to customer requirements.

Our workshops are open seven days a week but please make an appointment so a member of staff is available for your enquiries.
