This exquisite chest, which stands on bracketed feet, has five drawers in graduated sizes, all ash lined and fitted with original hardware. The term Oyster refers to a decorative form of veneering where thin slices of wood branches or roots are cut in cross section. The resulting circular pieces of veneer are laid side by side to create a unique decoration. This process can also be found among our range of bureaux.
Most of our furniture can be made in Mahogany, Walnut, Burr Walnut, Pollard Oak, Rosewood, Yew Oyster and Walnut Oyster and only British hardwood is used. We stock an extensive selection of exotic veneers for special commissions.
Due to natural fluctuations in wood grain and colour the final finish may vary. Exact matches cannot be guaranteed, however our skilled polishers do achieve a very close match to customer requirements.
Our workshops are open seven days a week but please make an appointment so a member of staff is available for your enquiries.
